The NDACC Steering Committee held its annual meeting 4–6 November 2020. Originally scheduled to take place at the NOAA Center for Weather and Climate Prediction (NCWCP) in College Park, MD, the meeting was changed to a virtual format because of ongoing COVID-19 restrictions. The agenda was compressed into three short sessions, but attendees still were able to discuss a wide variety of topics, including station and data submission status, implementation of Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), changes to the NDACC Data Protocol, the addition of Data Versioning options, new relationships with the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) Climate Data Store, and the Pandonia Global Network (PGN) Cooperating Network. The abbreviated meeting was considered to be a great success, with a significant number of members in attendance. Moving forward, the Steering Committee is hopeful for a return to an in-person meeting in September 2021.
