The 16th GRUAN Implementation-Coordination Meeting (ICM-16) will be held in Tenerife, Spain, from the 17th to the 21st November 2025.
During the 5-day meeting, the GRUAN community will meet to discuss the achievements and the next steps in the implementation and operation of the Global Climate Observing System (GCOS) Reference Upper Air Network (GRUAN).
ICM-16 affords an opportunity for the WG-GRUAN (operating under the GCOS/WCRP Atmospheric Observation Panel for Climate), the GRUAN Lead Centre, representatives of all GRUAN sites, representatives of prospective GRUAN sites, Task Team members and invited experts from cooperative networks to review progress and to decide on further steps that need to be taken to consolidate GRUAN as an operational network

Format
In-person attendance is recommended. However, a streaming service will be available for those who cannot attend in person.
Program
The Agenda will be released in May. The meeting will be held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 09:00 to 18:00 (UTC+1). On Wednesday, a visit to the Izaña Research Centre (CIAI), and the GUIMAR GRUAN site will be organized.
Registration and fee
Registration will open in May. The fee will range between €120 and €140, covering conference room services, coffee breaks and visit-day lunch and transportation. Lunches during the meeting days will be at own cost.
