NDACC has developed many Partnerships beyond the NDACC Cooperating Networks. Some are formalized with the signing of an MOU; some are less formal working relationships. These working relationships can be the sharing of data or metadata, an agreement on use of specific data formats, or more structured relationships defining data algorithms, generation and exchange.
Currently Active Partnerships:
Current Formal Agreements:
ACTRIS (European Aerosol, Clouds, and Trace Gases Research InfraStructure)
MOU signed June 2024
Establishes relationship between NDACC and ACTRIS for those measurements that are targets of both groups. Addresses protocols, data management, data sharing, labelling and acknowledgement. Data centrally processed by ACTRIS for shared measurements will be sent to NDACC for archival.

ECMWF (European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts)
MOU signed June 2021
Addresses rules and mechanisms for use and redistribution of data on the ECMWF Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) Climate Data Store (CDS). Applies to specifically agreed datasets with consent by the NDACC Data Providers. ECMWF provides forecasts of global gridded meteorological parameters via EVDC at https://evdc.esa.int/tools/ecmwf-plots.

WMO/GAW (World Meteorological Organization/Global Atmospheric Watch)
Letters of expectations exchanged and completed in July 2022.
Established NDACC as a GAW Contributing Network. Establishes expectations for sharing of relevant metadata with GAWSIS, sharing data with WOUDC (World Ozone and UV Data Centre) and other World Data Centres and participation in WMO Expert Teams.

Current informal relationships:
NILU (Norwegian Institute for Air Research)
Provides off site back up of NDACC DHF and website. This service was originally established in 1991 to provide quick access of NDSC data to European affiliates and continues as a full site back up.

Past Partnerships:
Past formal agreements:
GEOmon (Global Earth Observation and Monitoring)
Data Sharing Agreement established 2008. The GEOmon project ran from 2007 to 2011. The agreement established access to the NDACC data for use and further dissemination by GEOmon, and set expectations for rules of data use.

Past informal relationships:
NORS (Demonstration Network Of ground-based Remote Sensing Observations in support of the Copernicus Atmospheric Service)
Predecessor project to the provision of selected NDACC data to CAMS27 in partnership with ECMWF.

CEDA/BADC
Centre for Environmental Data Analysis (CEDA) was formerly the British Atmospheric Data Centre (BADC). In 1991 the BADC was a second option to NILU for easy access to NDSC data for European affiliates. This copy of the NDACC archives continued until 2018. Copies of NDACC data up to 2018 are still available at CEDA.
