27-30 October 2025 NDACC Symposium, Virginia Beach, VA, USA
An International Symposium Celebrating 35 Years of Global Atmospheric Research Enhanced by NDACC/NDSC Observations
We are pleased to officially announce the NDACC 2025 Symposium celebrating 35 years of NDACC/NDSC Operations. The Symposium will be held over three and a half days from 27-30 October 2025 at the Sheraton Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel in Virginia Beach, VA, USA. You can find information on Symposium Scientific Sessions at (https://ndacc.larc.nasa.gov/symposium-2025); this page will soon link to a full Symposium website currently under construction. A link for the hotel group reservation room block will also be made available soon. Stay tuned for more announcements on abstract submission, registration, and travel logistics.
See the First Announcement Flier here.
We welcome to the Symposium current members of the NDACC community, and members of the atmospheric chemistry community who hope to initiate and/or strengthen their ties to NDACC.
Thanks to Hampton University for partnering with the NDACC Local Organizing Committee and hosting this meeting on our behalf!
The international Network for the Detection of Atmospheric Composition Change (NDACC) is composed of approximately 80 active affiliated and distributed worldwide research stations for observing and understanding the physical and chemical state of the troposphere up into the mesosphere. Following five years of planning, instrument design, and implementation, NDACC began network operations in January 1991 as the Network for the Detection of Stratospheric Change (NDSC), primarily to focus on the long-term evolution of the ozone layer. Since then, NDACC capabilities and priorities have grown to include the detection of trends in atmospheric composition, their impacts, and their links to climate change and air quality. Network details can be found at (https://www.ndacc.org/).
The goal of the 2025 NDACC Symposium, celebrating ~35 years of atmospheric research fostered by Network observations, is to provide a forum to exchange information on the latest scientific achievements using NDACC and related observations, and to present NDACC’s measurement strategy for the future.
