B. Liley (NIWA) — Mobile Nd:YAG system operated extensively at Tsukuba (36.05°N, 140.13°E) for retrievals from 6 to 36 km; deployed at Lauder in November 1992. Operated weekly. Data archived under PI, Uchino, up to mid-1999 and under PI, Nagai, onward. Ceased operations in 2009.
